Julia S
Julia is a Mathematics undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, where she is pursuing the Mathematical Tripos with a particular interest in Group Theory. She achieved four A*s at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and French, alongside 11 grade 9s at GCSE, including Maths, Physics and the Sciences.
Julia has an impressive competitive mathematics record, having earned bronze medals in the British Maths Olympiad Round 1, a Distinction in BMO Round 2, back-to-back Golds in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge, and most recently an Honourable Mention at the European Girls’ Maths Olympiad 2025. She has also been selected for the UKMT IMO Training Camps twice, reflecting the strength of her problem-solving ability at a national level.
Julia has been tutoring Olympiad Maths since early 2024 through the We Solve Problems charity, working with able students on competition-style problem solving and delivering online sessions to exceptionally high-achieving students. She is passionate about helping students develop the deep mathematical intuition and creative thinking needed to excel — whether in competitions or in the classroom.
